A native Minnesotan, Kelly grew up in St. Paul where she attended both public and parochial schools. Graduating high school with honors, Kelly went on to attend the University of Minnesota where she studied advertising and marketing.

Eager to begin her career Kelly worked at local advertising agency, Colle & McVoy followed by three years in the marketing department of the local in-line skate company, Rollerblade, Inc. before embarking on a career in the new construction sales industry. Finding it a natural fit, Kelly flourished and rose in the ranks encompassing sales, management, training, and consulting.
 

While serving 7 years with Ryland Homes as a Senior Sales Counselor, she had the opportunity to assist one of Ryland’s newest Divisions rise to the top 10 Divisions in the nation. She was named Ryland Homes Sales Person of the Year in 1999, 2000, and 2003, was inducted into Ryland’s prestigious “Emerald Club” in 2003 and 2004, was awarded the NAHB Silver Award in 2001, 2002, and 2003, and was the NAHB Sales Person of the Year in 2004.

Selling an average of just under 100 homes per year, Kelly was asked to teach new home sales professional training programs, judge at sales representative contests and present at seminars.
Named one of the top 12 agents by Professional Builder Magazine in 2002, she offered her “secrets to success” to fellow sales representatives around the country. In constant pursuit of product and market knowledge in the new home sales industry, she received her CSP designation in 2003 and in 2004 received her CMP and MIRM designations from the National Association of Home Builders.

Her sales experiences encompass first time homebuyers buying and selling town homes under $200,000 up to single family, multi million dollar properties.
